ARGOFET charging different battery banks

I’ve got an offgrid set up, with a solar controller sending its 12v output to the input of an argofet, which in turn charges three different 12v battery banks which are independant from each other (other than a common negative).

Is the argofet passive when it comes to determining the voltage it will push to each of the battery banks, so if the solar controller had an error and delivered 20V to the argofet, would the argofet pass this on to the three battery banks, or is there a voltage limiter within the argofet or any clever charging algorithms to deliver bulk, absorption and float for a 12V battery?

Thanks.

The Argofet is merely an electronic switch with very low resistance so it passes through the source voltage.
