Any Cerbo compatible weather stations?

I am trying to consolidate my various monitoring systems to one single platform. Currently I have a system for remote monitoring of a weather station which I would like to move onto the Victron platform. Is anyone aware of a weather station (wind speed/direction/temp/humidity/pressure) that is compatible with a Cerbo GX? I am aware of and already have several RUUVI 4in1’s but really would like to bring, especially wind info into the system.

Hi Rob,
Did you find a solution since you posted?
I won’t be able to help you directly, but I can second your question / request.
I have a Victron installation on a boat, and I would like to complement the Ruuvi data sent on VRM with Wind data, without having to use another party. I just want to send the Wind data I am already measuring onboard to a Cerbo GX and to find it on VRM.
Victron, any chance of making this happen? How could we go about it otherwise?
Thanks,
JL

The only suggestion I have found so far was Home Assistant. I haven’t played with it but I understand there is compatibility between HA and some wx stations as well as Victron. To what degree I don’t know.
I would prefer staying with Victron and VRM if I can as it will be one less system to learn.

I haven’t used any of their products but looks like there is a gateway for node red. You can install node red on the GX device and setup your own dashboard for remote monitoring.

@owenb79 Not sure what you are saying but I already read several RUUVI tags without issue. No need for Node Red.
The question is if there is a way to get WIND data from a weather station anemometer into the Cerbo and VRM data.

No I dont think so. I am pretty sure you could get wind data into node red and create a bespoke custom dashboard with all the data from the victron system and ruuvi tags. Display and graph the data you want or need. The only other option that was mentioed is HA and that will require another sytem to install and run.

Victron have allowed GPS NMEA2000 input into the Cerbo GX. Without requesting a huge list of additional items, I would suggest that wind data makes plenty of sense and is a natural complement to Ruuvi. On sailing boats in particular, because we already have an anemometer permanently installed, that’s the one we’d like to use. So the request translates into allowing NMEA2000 wind data to be seamlessly transferred to Cerbo GX and on to VRM. In parallel, other users may want to have a “weather station” transmit its data just like Ruuvi.

Hi Owen,
I am trying to refrain from getting into Node-RED as I feel it would take quite some energy for me to do sensible things with it. But it is tempting indeed because it seems very powerful.
I wish someone would develop the code for the Wind application ;•)

A quick look at what’s available, it looks super easy. I have seen dozens of examples where captains create custom dashboards with all the info they need, from power to tanks and navigation.

here are some local weather station plugins for node red, maybe someone knows some better ones.
