I am interested in building a charging and maintenance system for my boat batteries hoping some kind sole can recommend a system for me. My boat lives year round on a lift on our private dock on Beaver Lake (Arkansas). Our winter lows can potentially be as low as -10F but this would be extreme. I have no power on the dock. My boat has two 12V Pro-Guide PGM 24MX935 AGM batteries, one for starting and the other for accessories. https://proguidebatteries.com/shop/pgm-24mx935/
I am looking for a portable system that I can easily remove/reattach. As for powering this system, I was hoping I could use a portable power station like this one (i.e. https://www.jackery.com/products/explorer-500w-portable-power-station). I can charge this power station at house and then reconnect as needed.
Second option would be use another battery to charge system? Solar would be least preferred option as boat dock is covered and I would have to install panel far from boat and probably get permission from the Army Corps of Engineers which is a major hassle!
I did see that Victron has an App to check battery health which seems like a nice thing to have.
Thanks for reading this and hopefully someone will be kind enough to help. I m happy to provide any additional info.
