Advice: Blue Smart IP22 Charger 12/30A (3) VS Smart IP43 Charger 12V/30A (1+1)

For our RV with 2 old-fashioned lead batteries, (For the domestic battery and the starter battery).

We need a new battery charger (separate outputs).

Now I come to the following two products:

-Smart IP43 battery chargers 12 V, 12/30 (1+1) (Trickle charge function for starter battery)
or the
-Blue Smart IP22 charger 12V, 12/30 3 outputs

As far as I understand, the IP43 has a “trickle” charging output for the starter battery,

Is it also possible on the IP22 to configure this function on 1 of the 3 outputs? And then still charge the domestic battery normally on another port? Unfortunately, I cannot get this from the documentation…

Please advise, so that we can buy the best solution from Victron.

I think with the IP22 3 output charger, all of the outputs have the same output voltage. If the 2 batteries have identical charge voltage profile, then there is no need for a dedicated ‘trickle’ charge output.

Thanks for this quik answer! So it will top off batteries separately (example a 150Ah and a 100Ah battery). There is one charging profile, that applies to all 3 ports?

Yes. as you have lead acid batteries, the repeated absorption cycle of this charger will be good for longer term storage charge.
