Ciao a tutti, I need an information about the Blue Smart IP22 Charger with 3 outputs.
I need to charge the starter battery and the house battery (both lead acid batteries).
If I connect each battery with its own cable using 2 outputs and since the two batteries are separate, when the charger is on does it put the two batteries in parallel for charging?
My understanding is that if you have one battery connected to any of the 3 outputs it would receive the full charge current under bulk charging regardless of which output you use.
If you connect 2 or three batteries the FETs isolate the three outputs from each other and the battery with the lowest SOC (indicated by voltage) gets the lion’s share of the current until the batteries are near equal and then the current is shared between them for the remaining charge cycle.
Note only one charge profile can be set that is applicable to all three outputs, thus you can’t mix and match battery chemistries with different absorbsion voltage requirements.
