Hello, I have looked around but struggling to find an answer. My system has a Epoch battery system utilizing one VE.CAN port, and the Victron solar controllers utilizing the other. I would like to also have RV-C. Is there an easy way to add a VE.CAN port to the Cerbo MK2?
Assuming you can’t daisy chain because there are 3 different protocols in play here?
You could check if the MPPT has a VE direct connection and use that to free up a can port.
Hey Mac, thanks!
Correct on the daisy chain.
I did think about doing the change, but was trying to avoid it as then I would have to add a USB to VE Direct (and I don’t like how weak the connections are on those). So was looking for another alternative.
There is a canusb interface, not sure if it will work with the cerbo though,
I use these isolated CAN adapter with my raspi.
DSD TECH SH-C30G
A third CAN bus interface would regoniced at my raspi
There is a way to connect two cerbos together for more tank sensors. Not sure if it will work for you application as i have never tried it.
He wants to use RV-C via Can.
I just plugged in a third adapter. However, I haven’t been able to test whether it actually works.
