Hello,
I current have a setup with 2 multi in split phase, smart solar mppt’s, pylontech batteries, and a cerbo. Off grid system.
I am looking to add a 48v wind turbine.
Integration seems simple enough: add turbine with their in house wind controller, add a smart shunt, connect to battery bus bar.
Program shunt as dc meter, turn on Has DC system (current no dc system).
Question/concern:
Currently the system is setup with the Pylontech external bms control for the multi’s and mppt’s, I understand that the system should see the dc meter numbers and act according with charge rates from mppt’s. Because the wind controller will not integrate as external controlled from the bms, I can set the change voltages to match manually (slightly lower), but they will not be regulated based on temperature. Will this be an issue? And what about when the bms wants a reduced charge rate? (Cold temperate or other reasons)
