Can I use my Victron charger with three outputs for two lithium batteries that are connected to different loads? I’m a bit worried that the charger is not able to change charging state on the outputs if the batteries have different charge level.
Batteries are both 150 AH Lifepo. I use 60A relay to split the otherwise commin minus when not charging.
The charger will charge the battery with the lowest voltage first. The point to watch is that all the batteries should have the same absorption voltage and the same float voltage. If not, then program the charger for the lowest voltage settings. With Lithium batteries, its best to charge to less than the absolute maximum voltage by about 50mV per cell, and to have the float voltage less than the abs voltage by another 20mV per cell, so for a 24V battery with 8 cells in series, float is ~ 160mV less than Abs.
