2 solar controllers for one battery bank

I am intending to install 2 solar panel arrays with different power outputs and I want each array to connect to the same identical controllers that will both connect to the same battery bank. The Victron Energy wizard says to use two different size controllers (100/15 and a 75/15) but I want them to be identical for the purpose of having a redundant device should one controller fail in the middle of the voyage. Can I use two identical controllers? both the larger 100/15 size?

Yes, and your reasoning is good.

Yes ofc, larger is never a problem

Redundancy is peace of mind. I would think that using identical controllers would be no problem, if this is really the case with VEW, you would only be losing 25% in case of an emergency. Which sucks but it’s better than nothing. However, I think that installing both controllers in paraller should be no problem. You can even have a switch between them to control which you would like to use. The system should not care either way. But I’m just using my own logic here. I had two diffent model controllers connected at one point with the same battery bank but seperate arrays and had no issues. They just seem to compensate each other.
