I see victron recommends this size wire for quattro 10kva 120volt , I know the 2awg is for the 100amp pass through on AC in , but for the Ac out put of 1/0 wire is that for the MAx peak power of 20000 watts per inverter , put if your never going to have peak power surge for 30 minutes cant you just leave the output ac at 2awg as well?
Hi and welcome to the community!
I would always use what is recommended, but at the end of the day it’s your risk (assuming you not breaking any local codes/laws and your insurance covers you in case of a fire ect) you just have to decide if it’s worth it, is it safety critical? what would happen worst case? wires should always be protected with fuses (and circuit breakers in some cases). I doute anyone here will go against what Victron recommends.
I strongly urge you to follow what Victron recommends.
