Where should I connect Neutral and ground using a multiplus and an isolation transformer

Hi,
On my Aluminium boat I have the following setup :

Shore Power → Isolation Transformer → Multiplus → 2 Differentials Breakers (one for mutiplus output, one for AC passthrough) → Distribution Panel

Right now there’s a PE busbar next to the Differential breakers, and this is where I’ve connected PE to the boat’s hull

I’m now trying to figure out how to connect PE and Ground
the automatic mutiplus connection is not enough has my outlets have a floating ground when shore power is on

Should I keep the multiplus auto PE/Neutral connection on, and connect PE/Neutral at the output of the islation transformer (I’m concerned the double connection might cause ring currents and prevent the differentials from working properly)

Or should I disable the multiplus auto PE/Neutral connection and do the connection myself. If so, should it be done :

  • at the output of the isolation transformer (will it work when shore power is off ?)
  • at the input of the differentials (I don’t like the idea of doing the link twice)

I guess this is a very standard situation that many had to deal with before, but I wasnt able to find a definitive answer ..

Thank you !

in a simple one word answer

Yes

The multiplus auto PE/Neutral will disconnect when shore power is applied and the PE/Neutral at the output of the isolation transformer is before the multiplus so has no effect when the multiplus is inverting.
