VRM widgets scale range not properly saved / preserved

Hello VRM developers,

Trying to create a custom widget and set some ranges for voltages, with individual Y axis scales…
Initially, during widget design, those seem to be correctly displayed, but after pressing Save, they are saved rounded up.
See below

LE: For clarification…
I am referring to the ends of scales. Setting 50.6 and 56.6, wrongly saved 51 and 57.
When default, it seems that the ends can be fractional, like 52.3 and 53.2.

But !!!
If you set default Y axis, fractional display possible.

Thanks for listening.

Moved to Q&A as it behaves the same on production, not only on beta…

Hi @Barbara
Am I doing something wrong, or is it a bug?
Thanks!

I think it is a bug but I am unsure what part of it is a bug. A couple of things are happening in your screenshots:

  • The minimum and maximum of the Y axis aren’t respected
  • The interval is not respected

Fractional Y axes are possible, because in the end that’s also what you see in your screenshots, its just with the wrong values it seems.

If you don’t mind changing your current settings, I will take a look at your site to understand this better.

When in “design” phase, the intervals are respected - they are 10 intervals shown, and between 50.6 and 56.6 there are 6 volts, so the interval increment is 0.6V, meaning 50.6 - 51.2 - 51.8 - … etc.
But after pressing save, they are from 51 to 57, still 6V and still 10 intervals of 0.6V: 51 - 51.6 - 52.2 - etc…

Or maybe I didn’t understood what you’ve meant?..

Of course you can take a look… Don’t know why you are asking, as long are your servers and apps…
Thanks in advance!

So you are not confused if you notice changes in the custom widget on your site :).
We’ll try and fix this today.

Thanks a lot!
Indeed!

Hi @Barbara

Another thing, maybe in the same note…
Some scales are shown with decimals, some not, for the same user defined range.

Hi Alex,

I have added this to our backlog, but with a low priority. It might take a bit before we get to it, but when we do I added a note to update you here.

As always, thank you for thinking along!
