Actual: Trends tab allows user to specify graphing options such as Input Voltage, Output Power; and, to play around with +/- range, etc
Expected: Trends tab displays a message that this particular device does not support Stored Trends, so user doesn’t spend hours on the internet trying to figure out why his or her device’s “Stored Trends” appears blank or isn’t working — as was the case for myself, as well as this gentleman on “Motor Home Fun” forum.
yeah, I realize that to support the real time view, that is supported, but also to honor devices that do not support stored trends, this portion of the user interface needs to be carefully redesigned to do it cleanly.
i’ve certainly solved more challenging problems than this with user interfaces during my time, but I also understand how very low a priority this can be. Nonetheless, here’s my two cents. if there is an official bug log, I am happy to log it there; otherwise, this will have to suffice
Any news on this @guystewart@mpalavecino ? Every other Victron device I have supports stored trends, why doesn’t the brand new Orion XS? It sounds from other posts six months ago that it used to and that this got broken in a firmware update. Surely it doesn’t take 6 months to reinstate a very useful feature which was accidentally broken by an update?
