Hi! I use a MultiPlus 48/5000 plus solar MPPT for home back up power.
I’m in a region which suffers from severe power shortages (load shedding).
My ideal use of the set up is to have the solar MPPT charge the batteries and provide direct use during the day and then overnight preserve the battery and use the Gird for direct use whenever available. However, to save utility cost, I’d like to NOT use the grid to charge the batteries - this would happen the next morning when the sun is up…
Before a firmware update I used to achieve this by setting the gird charge power to 0W. Unfortunately this setting is no longer there. Is there still a way to achieve this through the ESS menu - possibly with the use of the scheduled charging?
Thanks so much in advance!
Yes scheduled charging can do just that!

Thanks Marc! Would the right way be to just set up one schedule (at midday maybe) and no other schedules?
You can use multiple, but they cant overlap

I think I’ve got it set up correctly as suggested. I still get the feeling there’s a conflicting logic between the scheduled SOC limit and the active SOC limit. I just wish there was still the ability to set the grid charge power - that was so simple.
Anyway, I think I’m back on track. Thanks very much for your swift responses Marc!
