Switch off certain appliances when battery SOC drops below a certain percentage

Hi everyone, is there a way how to control (switch off/on) some appliances (like water heater, induction plate, oven…) when battery level drops below a certain percentage?

For example my battery is bellow 50% and it will not allowed me to turn on oven, but other appliances will go on.

Do you have any recommendation for smart fuse and how to connect them with victron system/vrm/cerbo…?

My system info:
8x Sollar panels Longi 455Wp
3x LiFePO4 Pylontech US2000C 48V 50Ah 2,4kWh CANBUSS
Victron Multiplus 48V 3000VA 35A 50A
Victron Energy SmartSolar 250V 70A -Tr
Cerbo GX Victron Energy

Thanks a lot for any advise/tips.

You need relays for that. You have two outputs on the cerbo that you can control and set the relay to be on if you have more than 50% soc in node red.

A Victron BatteryProtect could be used for this. It’s not to be used in the circuit going to an inverter, but other lower amperage devices are appropriate. I used one in my prior camper. It was handy to turn off the 12 volt system via the BatteryProtect using the VictronConnect app.

You could wire those heavy users to ACOut2 of the Multi and switch that with the onboard Assistants.

Good to know. I haven’t read into it but I was under the assumption the second output on the multi was only energized when there was grid power coming in.

If we can use the second output while inverting and have it disconnect at xx%soc that would be awesome

A flexible way to handle this is Modbus TCP, Home Assistant and Zigbee.

There are a few videos on YouTube that show how to do this. I plan to make use of this feature in the future.

On YouTube, search on “victron multiplus ac out 2”.
