Some Victronies needs DC AC Hybrid

Hey everyone and greats from Gelsenkirchen ! A lot has happened for all of us lately. I’mm stuck on the following scenario.

My setup includes 3x MP5000, 5x MPPT 150/35, three AC-coupled Growatt inverters, and a 25 kWh battery. Monitoring is working, as well as the switch with AC-out to the HIM 406.

Right now, AC Tec has a deal on the Growatt 3600 Hybrid. I already have three of them, along with 30 installed panels, and they arere running great. Thats the current situation.

The Growatt inverters are black start capable and support backup power, working with the Pylontech BMS (my battery BMS).

I would like to connect them only via the DC side, instead of through AC like the others. But Im completely stuck on the communication between the two systems.

Anyone got a plan?

Other than writing a driver for it, you could add a shunt to meter it and have has dc system on.
The pylons will know when they are receiving charge and soc will be fine otherwise.

Are you looking for a control system?

There is some stuff being tested and played with in beta for virtual devices in node red so it may/might/could possibly still be possible later depending on the connection method that is available with the growatt.

That’s actually what I am searching for LX. As I wrote I think it is possible but I have no starting point in my mind.

You would first need to know if the Growatt has modbus or mqtt access or atvleast what their communication protocol is. Then there is maybe someon who could have started something on github. I recall a few mentions of growatt, but is may not be for your model.

I worked out the which I hope final answer with chat gpt. I will take a canbus switch and share the Battery information to both systems. Means when the battery is full the Growatts will switch the Power to the Ac side

Nice. We will be interested to hear the results of your testing.
