Solar charging much higher than AC Loads but batteries discharging

Neg from PV neg to inverter Batt

That is why you do not see it charging in VRM ect… (the wire in my first pic arrowed)

Exactly as per Diagram

You said this is how you have it connected? not per Diagram???

and at the inverter

The wire from the MPPT Neg is red (with black heat shrink around it) but then on the BVM its black ??, this red wire should go where I have indicated.

its orange flex with BLACK heat shrink = NEGATIVE
orange with RED heat shrink = POSITIVE
if I did what you say how does the inverter get a negative from the battery

Solar output is NOT a LOAD

EXACTLY & its NO LONGER IN THE SYSTEM
READ ALL REPLYS

incorrect quattro as battery monitor

Common the MPPT/Inverter (and anything else you want to monitor) Battery negative connections at the single bus bar.
Run all negs to this bus bar then one wire to the BVM LOAD & CHARERS side.
Do this and it will work, don’t it won’t, your call good luck.

WRONG
Yes it was
NO

Only monitoring the batteries NOTHING ELSE
As it was done Just common-ed at the inverters Buss Bar
Having Removed the BMV 712 & THE ISSUE STILL REMAINS PROVES it was NEVER at fault or was it the way it was wired, or its polarity direction was wrong
THE ISSUE REMAINS WITHOUT IT IN THE SYSTEM
FACT

The MPPT will only produce power if there is a need so either its going to the batteries or being used as a direct load, if you think it’s faulty RMA it.
Sorry i can’t help anymore, good luck.

It charges quite happily from generator AC input & Vrm & display state its Charging
it charges from solar input yet it says its discharging
it does NOT charge at all or show so from Charger mode only nor does it have any working leds on the inverter with or without the shunt in place
pre rma completed
RMA submitted

Was the shunt set as the battery monitor in the GX? Not that this has anything to do with the lights issue.
But your set up does seem to have other issues.
When the inverter issue is resolved, consider upgrading the DC cable from the battery to the inverter. That little guy there is not enough for the job. It is usually 2x50mm² from bank to inverter on a 10kVa quattro. Then you need a bus bar to combine the MPPT and all the cables of at least 250A rating.

Yes it was
will upgrade dc cable
500 amp busbars are plentiful around here

This setting is for acInput from grid is it not

I think almost everybody responding to this topic has been looking at the wrong cause. The issue was not a wiring problem, but a configuration problem.

You can NOT use the multiplus to monitor your power flow if there is ANY other input to the system. The multiplus only knows about power that flows into and out of itself. A solar controller in the system can never be measured and reported on by the multiplus. This is EXACTLY what you are seeing. The voltages show that the batteries are being charged yet the current flow is zero.

You need to go into the multiplus set up and be sure that battery monitoring is turned OFF, and in the CERBO system be sure that all the monitoring is done by the BMV. This is a requirement for the system that you have. If you don’t do this it will never be able to work. Read the manual for the cerbo and the multiplus carefully. It is all explained in there.

He has a shunt that should be set up for monitoring flow in and out the battery. That is why the theory was a config issue.

Was this resolved now?

How did it go Martin?

Asking this because I have a similar issue with my Easysolar 2 5kVA in combination with US500 and ET112 that tries to dump battery load into the grid.
