My solar charge controller shows a higher voltage than the BMV. In doing so it starts the float charge at the cutoff of 13.5 volts but the batteries are actually much lower (maybe 12.7 volts). I have replaced connectors and check cabling as well as trying a different charge controller. I always get the same result. The system has been installed for 3 years without trouble so cable sizing should not be an issue. Is this normal?
Verified with a meter?
And there aren’t any blown fuses?
That is odd.
Does Victron connect agree with the meter, if not them maybe it is faulty.
Thanks for the reply. I went back to where I started checking for loose connections. Found one connection that I missed the first time. I am very sure that was the problem. Simple solution!
Ah excellent. I did have that thought ticking in my head as well.
