SOC Recalibration Event

I am “Gog” - Going off Grid and am monitoring my upgraded battery - Freedom Won 40/32 800Ah

My Solar Solution:

1 x Victron Energy Quattro 48/8000 (Grid Tied – Single Phase)

1 x Cerbo GX with ESS for Self-Consumption

1 x Victron Energy RS450/100 Solar Charge Controller / MPPT

1 x 48V Freedom Won 40/32 Lithium-Ion battery

1 x Yamaha EF6600 Generator with 2 x 16A Out lets - not in use at the moment.

8 x 345W Sunpower CPV Panels, S -25.88, Azimuth: North, Tilt Angle: 30°

The ESS Assistant will be removed when I disconnect from the grid. Right now I am running in inverter mode.

On Thursday 14/05/2026 06:15, the SOC was 76%. I then created several loads baking some Panini, running a pressure cooker, vacuum cleaner and induction stove. At 14/05/2026 17:48, the SOC was 68%.

15/05/2026 06:15 - SOC = 49% MPPT Active for the first time on this day.
15/05/2026 17:47 - SOC = 58% MPPT - Off

16/05/2026 06:17 which the MPPT State became active, the SOC was 39%.

By 12:54, the SOC was 51%. By 13:06, the SOC was 100%.

Below is an extract from the logs: 51 - 100% SOC from 12:54 to 13:06.

Can anyone allude to what has happened here?

How often will this occur?

Where is the SOC coming from?
From the battery or a BMV/SmartShunt?
What device is selected as battery monitor in the settings of the GX device?

SOC comes from the battery BMS.

Its pretty typical for the way Freedom wons behave and they way they trigger 100%. It is something i have seen a few times. And the firmware version it is on.

If you go the vrm advanced, check the voltage ther eis a trigger leve and the way the current drops off - that is the trigger for the 100% jump. Kind of how a badly set up victron bmv or shunt works.
The ccl and cvl limit and voltage graph are useful.

Make sure it is configured in both system settings and DVCC.
If it is correct, open a support call with them.

They have had issues in the past with current meters and firmware.
They can easily adjust the BMS parameters if it is synchronising incorrectly.
I have not see it leap that much before, typically from the 90’s particularly if it has been charged slowly or not fully charged with any regularity.

Hopefully this is a lite 2 which has remote access built in.

Is this what you are looking for?

I do not believe it is a Lite 2 as the only port avialable is the printer port which I can use for Orion JR 2.
