Hi,
after just looking at the dimensions I bought a 330Ah battery to replace the used 100Ah Battery in my RV. When installing it I read the manual and noticed that it explicitly says that this battery may not be installed sideways. This is bad because I planned to do so, as it fits really nicely into the heated battery area sideways. Now I am wondering, what could go wrong? As I am at max charging and discharging this battery with 30A I would consider it safe if cooling is the issue. And my system is monitoring the battery temperature anyway. I can’'t really think of a different reason. Since it is meant to be placed in a boat or RV it should be robust enough to handle some G forces from all directions. So what could I be missing, why is the 330Ah variant the only upright citizen.
And please do not just say that I should not have bought exactly this model or should have done more research beforehand. This was an unintentional mistake but shipping batteries around to return it is also not easy or cheap.
Best Regards,
Andre
