Hello,
I am installing a 3 x Multiplus 2 15kVA (45kVA total) in a 3ph installation. The system will also have 12 x pylontech US5000, 8kWp pv sytem DC coupled with Smartsolar RS 450-200 and 50kVA diesel genset.
Till now in most previous installations I had an oversized pv system (in terms of energy production), so I used parameters for grid / generator as backup and multiplus only connected to AC source when lack of energy was present, till voltage limit reached or power demand was low. In this installation pv system will be able to supply less than 25% of daily consumption during summer and much less during winter. As I see it till now, I prefer not to mess with ESS assistants because 1st I am not used in parametrization, and 2nd with what I read from manuals and here in the community, in my country where Multiplus is not certified for grid operation and an anti-islanding device might be necessary and also the observance of zero feed in is strict, I don’t want to take the risk. All above while diesel genset is in parallel (with an ATS) to the grid. So even if grid feedback/anti islanding issues where solved, I suppose many tests should be runned in order to check if generator connects properly when grid falls and ESS with grid standard is set to multiplus.
I want the system to be able to supply uninteraptable power supply during grid blackouts, while tranfering to the diesel generator and back, (we have everyday blackouts in the region), and also supply this small amount of energy produced by the pv system to reduce grid energy consumption.
I don’t know if by setting very low power limits to connect to the AC source, so we keep grid connected even if batteries are at 100% soc (in order to avoid unnecessary battery cycles), will meet criteria of zero feed in and supply most of the energy produced from pv to the loads (loads will most of the time be higher than the power of pv). I understand that with ESS parametrization I will have full control of the system, but as I explained above and untill we install more pv I am trying to avoid it.
Any suggestions are welcomed.
Thank you in advance.
