Re; Replacing my Victron DC to DC charger with my new Ford Truck Pro Power Onboard (2kW, 120V)
Am am preparing to remove my Victron 30A DC to DC charger, and will be installing a “WFCO T57 50Amp Automatic Transfer Switch 125V” in its place.
I have a question related to the installation of this transfer switch. See attached file; Transfer switch diagram question (area is circled in green)
Q; I would like to install a jumper connection between LI & L2 on the ‘tow vehicle’ input line (input to the transfer switch), preferably inside the transfer switch.
Does anyone see any issues with that installation ?
For a complete look at my electrical diagram, I also attached file; Complete Wiring diagram.docx
Instead of transfer switch you could use the Quattro 2 2x120 which has 2 AC inputs and built in transfer switch. Run 10 guage wire to one of the inputs of the Quattro with male 120 plug on other to connect to extension cord from truck. Shore power would be on the other AC input.
Hello; Thank you for your suggestion. I did consider a Quattro 2, but would be expensive, and do not have room for this change (my mid compartment storage is already taxed to its limit). I have since abandoned on this idea. I followed an extensive thread on Air Forum, with extremenly knowlegable member; foobar See thread on numerous reasons I abandonned idea (PS. I have a ‘Ford 2kw pro power generator’). [Finally: Solved the Ford 2kw propower and Victron Multiplus incompatibility - Airstream Forums]

Could you forgo the transfer switch and use a 50/15 dogbone on the shore input? It seems the Multiplus xfer switch would connect to inverter temporarily until the PowerPro is connected. Looking at the air forum link you posted it seems you might need to include a bypass option for the ems when connected to the Ford 2k ProPower. Otherwise you’ll likely get GFCI faults on the Power Pro.
