Hi all.
The pv assistant on my multiplus now jumps straight to maximum frequency and shuts down the pv inverter no matter the state of charge or voltage of the batteries.
i have a multiplus 48/3000
2x pylontech us 2000’s
150/100 smartsolar with 5kwp panels
0.7kw solis mini pv inverter (with 1.7kwp) ac coupled on the multiplus output
first to check: The PV assistant should be the last assistant to be loaded on the multiplus.
Do also check the charging parameters on the GX device - you should have that, but it’s not mentioned above.
Thanks Mike
The charging parameters are set by the pylontech batteries ( forced external control with dvcc)
The Pv assistant was the last in the list and has been working for the last 6 years but recently ( maybe after a firmware update) just started shutting the pv inverter off.
So just after posting this message I loaded the ess assistant with the pv inverter on multi output option and so far it hasn’t ramped up the frequency, I’m just waiting for the batteries fully charge and monitor how it behaves ( I found another post suggesting that the ess works and pv inverter assistant didn’t)
so i have been keeping an eye on it today and it reached 100 percent charge with the multiplus raising the frequency at the end and shutting pv inverter down as it should, so it all works fine with ess assistant instead of the Pv inverter assistant.
no idea why though.
On the charger tab for the Inverter in VE configure have you set the charging voltages and battery type? I know the DVCC using the BMS regulates the charge normally but the PV assistant needs the correct charging details in the charger tab to work properly.
Yes I have the same settings in the charger tab as I did when I was running the pv inverter assistant but for some reason it works with ess assistant with all the same settings
