Dear Matthias
thank you, i think that was my problem. I will disable voltage limit
Hello Matthias,
would you then assume that my described problem is due to the fact that the maximum charging voltage was limited to 56V in the DVCC?
In other words, would your suggestion be that the maximum charging voltage limit and the maximum charging current limit be deactivated?
BR
Manuel
I have deactivated the limits by 78% but then with higher charging current - the charging current is reduced at 85%
With the following settings, the following systems will run at least halfway.
I have now also received feedback from Pytes:
“Pls ask the distributor to solve it.
customers are complaining us that some of our distributor don’t solve end customers problem.”
Assembly 1: 3x Multiplus 5000, 4x Pytes V5a
Assembly 2: 3x Multiplus 8000, 6x Pytes V5a
Pylontech has not yet caused me any such problems…
BR
today charging current was reduzed @90% SOC
I think thats normal behavior ?
Yes, it’s normal that the battery starts to reduce the CCL at around 90%.
I installed a system last week and that does the same.
What do you recommend on the max. charging current?
Just let the BMS manage that.
Good Morning
The last few days i let the BMS manage
The day bevor yeasterday it had a effect during discharging: in 12 minutes, the SOC dropped by 32%.
The current was averaging around 43A, for 12 minutes → 9Ah → 9% SOC, and not 32%.
Then in eavening the SOC was “frozen” at 20%, even though at least 3A was drawn over about 5 hours.
Shouldn’t it have dropped by about 15%?
In in my opinion BMS “forgot” correct soc.
Yesterday again in charging phase Unfortunately, the problem persists: Yesterday, at 52% SoC, the charging current was limited to 5A.
And that was over a period of 4 hours!!
Accordingly, a lot of power was being drained into the grid.
I am not satisfied with this behavior, I have written to my dealer in the hope of getting a solution with Pytes Battery
Maybe there is also a software update for the BMS
Hello everyone!
I have the same problem with my V5 Pytes battery. It has been working for a week but it keeps shutting down at 5A at around 50%-60% SOC. It comes back on at the end of the day as the voltage drops.
Did you find out what the problem was?
Thanks!
PKG
I have an inkling it could be an strange response to parasite loads/charge
Or likely a SOC tracking problem. In other words it has its soc wrong for it’s voltage.
In short a firmware problem.
What you would ideally want to do (for now) is ignore soc and check is the target voltage met for absorption (and time for balance) and then does it move to float after.
Dear
i updated Firmware to the newest Version 1.10.25.C16
Now there is a limitation of charging current @60 SOC to 10A, before 5A
There was a jump from 60% SOC to 100% within few minutes
I think BMS Softare is crap
My dealer says a software update will be available in 4 weeks, hopefully…
Nice feedback.
The jump up when charge current falls is not as uncommon as you think.
I do know a few brands that do this. You can even simulate it on a bmv with bad settings.
Hopefully though they can tame it from the 50 to 100%.
I mean surely a certain target voltage should be met before synchronization to 100%?
I still hope the promised Pytes update solves my problems.
We have a pallets worth of batteries we were going to purchase for some installations… I am waiting on the results of this before ordering.
Hi everyone, 5A charging limit has been resolved with new firmware V1.10.26 C16.
Please send email by quoting battery serial number to ess_support@pytesgroup.com
We shall send you the new firmware.
Hi all,
I just stumbled upon this thread as I was about to buy a Pytes V5a battery with a Multiplus 2 48/3000 until I saw all these charging problems!
So I’m very interested to read if those with this problem here have indeed been helped by this latest firmware.
Cheers and good luck with the fw upgrade!
Vincent
Hello everyone!
3 days ago my dealer updated my battery to the latest firmware. The 5A charging problem was solved perfectly.
The battery is finally working fine.

Hi there,
I sent an inquiry 13 days ago regarding a firmware update to ess_support@pytesgroup.com but have not received any response so far.
Could you kindly provide an update on the status or share the latest firmware if available?
A quicker response would be greatly appreciated, as we are currently waiting to proceed with our setup.
Best regards,
Daniel
