I’ve been observing for some time now that Victron has ventured into the topic of price forecasts in the VRM, primarily on weekends. I find this a very interesting development, and I very much welcome it. For me, who only purchases PV in addition to PV, it has some very positive effects when the system detects times of PV underproduction in a timely manner and thus takes advantage of particularly favorable price periods. I have two suggestions on this topic. The first would be to highlight the times for which the prices are based only on forecasts in the VRM, and only switch to the standard color when the prices are based on real Epex prices. The second could be a button on the configuration page that asks whether the respective user even wants a price forecast. Personally, I fear that a storm of outrage will erupt if the price forecast is completely wrong and the system makes incorrect decisions as a result. Otherwise, I would be happy to have an interesting discussion on this topic.
