Hi,
The question is regarding Quattro-II 2x 120V.
First Question:
After reading the menu, I am a bit confused about which should be connected to AC input1 and which should be connect to AC input 2, considering how power assist works.
The manual suggests that AC input 1 is connected to generator, and AC input 2 is connected to shore power, which makes sense to certain degree, because if both inputs are connected, input 1 will take priority, when you turn on generator, that means you are preferring it over shore power even if shore power is connected.
In section 7 “Technical specifications” (page 22), it says PowerAssist is for L1 input. I assume that it means that it can assist both AC input 1 and input 2 but only on L1?
Question 2:
In the same manual page 14, regarding “AC-out-2”, it says:
A second output is available that disconnects its load in the event of battery operation. On these terminals, equipment is connected that may only operate if AC voltage is available on AC-in-1, e.g. an electric boiler or an air conditioner. The load on AC-out-2 is disconnected immediately when the inverter/charger switches to battery operation. After AC power becomes available on AC-in-1, the load on AC-out-2 will be reconnected with a delay of approximately 2 minutes. This to allow a genset to stabilize.
It means AC-out-2 is only available when AC-Input-1 has power, i.e. when generator is running if following the recommended way of connecting input 1 to generator.
So I am puzzled that AC-out-2 is not available on shore-power in that case?
Thanks!
