Orion XS not charging

Thx for your reply, that is good to know. I haven’t upgraded yet, as I am travelling with the boat and am hesitant to introduce any instability to my system….and there appears to be a bit of flux with new dot levels of 3.6 coming out quite frequently.

Updating to v3.6 would let you designate this Orion as a load to the system, but only to the Cerbo and only if you connected them trough VE.direct.

Joining the VE.Smart network always means that the connected units synchronize their behaviour, and theres going to be a voltage master. If the master transmits 13V as the battery voltage, then the Orion charging a different battery will assume that those 13V is the battery voltage on its output, and will try to charge that to 14.2V absorbtion for example, but it can never reach that, since the reference is transmitted from a different battery, resulting in the output voltage getting stuck 16.2V, 2V above absorbtion

Dont join the same VE.smart network when the devices charge a different battery

Ok, well then, looks like it won’t work the way I want it to. More thinking required. Thx for the reply.
