One Cerbo for two isolated Quattro systems?

Hi everyone,
I have two isolated systems with Victron Quattros and I’d like to know if it’s possible to connect both to a single Cerbo GX, or if I necessarily need one Cerbo per system. Both systems charge the same LFP battery pack.
Has anyone tried this or knows the correct setup?

Thanks in advance!

Not possible. You can connect 2 shunts in series, on for each cerbo, to monitor the battery SOC. Both will see the other as a DC load.

Sharing a battery between systems is not recommended and can introduce its own problems so make sure you or your installer have a good understanding of the systems.

Thank you for your response.

So what could be proposed for our system?

We have two generators, two sepparate AC lines and one big battery bank. I was thinking of two Quattro systems, one for each line and one battery bank, but if you say it is not possible to have two Quattro systems for one battery bank this is not valid…

Thanks inadvanced

No, it’s possible but has its flaws. Not recommended unless there are no other options.

Adding another battery bank, if possible split up the current battery bank. What battery are you using?

Another option is to do everything with a single system. Only use one AC line and one generator. What’s the purpose of the 2 systems?

According to the manual (I don’t remember which one), you can connect 1 quattro to the Cerbo and another quattro to the MK3, on the same battery bank. But this has limitations because the MK3 quattro doesn’t show all the data. I don’t know how AC-in is handled.

I assume everything in the official manual is supported unless the same manual says it is not.

We are using24 VDC 304ah MG LFP batteries.

We are using two systems because a single generator is not powerful enough to handle the vessel’s load. Therefore, we have two independent generators, each supplying its own AC line, with the loads divided between them and no synchronization.
