NodeRED set grid export to 0 / grid feed-in not working

looked like I found it… but, sadly no :frowning:

There are two Victron nodes for changing gridFeedIn

  1. ESS Control node / Venus settings / Don’t feed excess AC-coupled into grid
  2. Settings Control node / Venus settings / AC-coupled PV - grid feed in excess

both do the same thing:
data reading, ESS node / Venus settings / Don’t feed excess AC-coupled PV into grid, is now changing from 0 naar 1 (visaVersa).

but grid feed-in is still happening with, excess AC PV not active…

So, who can help me with this?

= = =

Hey,

I was wondering how to set, using NodeRED, no export to grid…
So, hopefully someone can/will help?

Systems:
Multiplus-II GX 3000 met 1x Pylontech US 5000C

Multiplus-II GX 5000 met 2x Pylontech US 5000C

What ac pv do you have?
You may need to control that device directly if possible.

Those nodes only work if the ac pv is connected to the gx for modbus control.

thx hopefully below is clear?

PV is Hosola 3.0 TL (the other Solis mini S6) + ET112 meter…
according to the company who installed it, it should be possible to block feed-in because the PV is “behind” the MPIIGX…

It is only possible is the GX can control the inverter via modbus to tell it to slow down production, like it does with some sma models and fronius.
Other sma models use their own meter to prevent feedback using their internal system.

What does solis use normally to control and monitor feedback?

Frequency shifting for control only works when you disconnect from the grid. And even then from what I understand not all solis models derate for that.

:stuck_out_tongue: dont have a clue  what the SolarBright and Solis use/do
I want to shut down feed-in when the kWh price is negative… but I dont want to close grid-connection due to charging… (with NodeRED the cheapest period is found, somewhere between 01-17:00h)

but, now Im writing this… charging is higher in kWh than the solar-production… so, now I’m thinking is this really needed…? :stuck_out_tongue:

so, I’ll put this in pause mode and see what the summer brings and, if needed, take action…

gotta say, thx for letting me think in another way
