No way - one MP 3000 fails and Grid fails - Rule 1:1 - potentially very long black out…
Use a 5000VA and Growatt are happy talking to each other and you are within rule 1:1
And when using the non critical load ac out 2 output, would that be allowed instead?
The reason I want to use 2 multiplus inverters is to be prepared for a 3 phase grid in the future, only having to add 1 multiplus (and of course replace the 5kw Growatt for 2 or 3 smaller ones or a 3 phase type)
Power produced has to be consumed or stored otherwise your voltage rises skyhigh amongst others.
Unmatched sytems introduce a risk.
In your case put a MP2 /3000´s in parallel with an external CT (max perm load 2400W @ 25C) Victron is rated in VA not in Watt (power factor) Thus you can have critical load AC1 and it can acount for overall PV production (ESS)
If it would be me I would simply put in a 5000. If later I get three phase and maybe EV just put in 2 more 5000 thats it, no need to split off the PV. https://www.victronenergy.com/media/pg/MultiPlus_12V_500-1200VA_120Vac/en/installation/optional-connections/parallel-connection.html
Thank you. Because of the information you gave me, I won’t connect the Growatt behind the multiplus but in front of it on ac in. When the grid disappears the Growatt will stop but that’s the trade off.
I also wonder what a reasonable power factor is to be expected, because at power factor 1, it can deliver 3000W I think.
