MPPT 75|15 charge current not high enough

Hi,

I just bought an MPPT 75|15 Solar charge controler (no BT) and it works fine with my laboratory power supply (300 Watts - 60V 5A) and a 100Ah 12.8V LiFePO4 battery.

Unfortunately it does not charge with more than 90-95Watts, no matter what voltage between 20V and 60Volts. e.G. 60V and 1.5A.

Why does it not charge faster with higher current? E.g. 200 Watts? The Power Supply is able to do 60V and 5A = 300 Watts

You can’t really test a MPPT with a lab power supply, see this discussion for example.

Also depending on the settings and the SOC of the battery the output current (or rather output voltage) is limited.
