I’m trying to set up my Cerbo gx to work mit my DC PV-Charger. The PV Charger allows modbus to connect. but somehow it doesn’t work.
Im trying the set it up with node Red activated in the Cerbo. I also wrote a note for Reading a Single Holding Register of my PV Charger. But nothing happens. What can go wrong? I already activated Modbus in my Cerbo. So this should be fine.
If Cerbo doesn’t recognize the PV charger, you may need to write a “driver” to run on Cerbo that takes info off of modbus and publishes to dbus.

What kind of Modbus is on your charger? Modbus-RTU (RS485) or Modbus-TCP (Ethernet)?
(on Venus OS, serial interfacing - RS485 - is hard for a few reasons… Ethernet is much easier)
Can you run your Node-RED code on another device (eg: laptop) and successfully talk with the charger?
