I’m not used to these community forums so I apologise if this is in the wrong section, I have been told Victron monitor these pages and it may be worth putting a message out
On November 5th this year I will attempt to row for 350 days from Peru to Mauritius, crossing the full Pacific, along the North coast of Australia and across most of the Indian Ocean.. I have a pure carbon fibre boat built by Mark Slatts a famous Dutch Ocean rower. My boat is reliant on purely Victron solar components (apart from the panels which need to be flexible) I am interested in speaking to someone from Victron head office, possibly their marketing department to discuss technical support for me in Peru and possibly even sponsorship, Grateful if someone could suggest who to contact to discuss further,
Thanks for the reply Matthias, it was actually my local suppler who suggested I put something on the community in the hope Victron pick up on it. However he did also offer to put me in touch with his regional representative, something I should probably follow up on,
The largest distributor in Peru is Novum Solar, they’re located near the coast in Lima. I’ve worked with them once for a project in Peru and all went well. Their CEO also speaks English quite well, so might be worth a shot.
I’ll be leaving from Callao which is just outside Lima so it sounds like Novum will be local, nice to know they have an English speaker, I’ll reach out to them
