As I understand it, L2 is pass-thru only, and will not charge a battery.
I plan to run 2-2x120s for total capacity, but my question is, can I wire one of the Quattros “reversed” with L1 and L2 swapped, so while charging, the charge load would be balanced across my 50a split phase input?
Not solved. I have same configuration (2 parallel quattros) and running both chargers off a single leg, plus other house loads, off genset, is creating a significant imbalance.
Does anyone know where there is guidance on rewiring internal chargers to separate legs to achieve balance?
No, because L1 is L1, and L2 is L2. The two units need to be configured in parallel, and they need to see eachother’s inputs, and the system won’t work if they have the wrong information.
The answer “no” is correct. L2 needs to be L2 on both units, and L1 needs to be L1 on both units.
