My boat is wired for the North American market. I have 2 120v 30amp shorepower inputs. Looking to add an isolation transformer. Is there an isolation transformer similar to the Quattro 2x120 model or do I need 2 isolation transformers?
Thank you.

The main problem with using 1 transformer for 2 inlets for shore power, is that the unused inlet becomes “live” when the other inlet is powered. This is not considered safe, and the 2 inlets should be replaced with a single 120-0-120 type inlet. Single phase connections must be made with a different cable than a single phase input. So the options are 2 transformers or change the input hardware.
Thanks Mike. So, can’t change the input hardware…for the US, it is either 2x120v inputs or a 240v/50amp(4wire) which gives you 2 120v lines.
I see another post about the 240/50amp, and they are going to look at a Hubbell. However, I don’t have any 240v loads, just 120v loads. So, your suggestion that I could use 2 Victron isolation transformers should work.
These isolation transformers will feed into a pair of Quattro 2x120 inverter/chargers (parallel).
Sound about right?
Yes, If you can’t or don’t want to change the input wiring, then treat each one as a completely different circuit, however, the ground bonding on the Boat side can be common. The Quatros will also have to be set to NOT charge as a group.
Thank you.
