How do I display offline energy data from Cerbo GX using Grafana?

Hello

I am trying to monitor my Victron setup offline using a Raspberry Pi instead of relying on the VRM cloud. I can access data via MQTT from my Cerbo GX & I have set it up to feed into InfluxDB using Telegraf. :slightly_smiling_face: Now I would like to visualize the results with Grafana but I am not sure how to connect everything properly that is; syncing MQTT โ†’ InfluxDB โ†’ Grafana locally.:innocent:

I noticed that Victron offers the Venus Grafana Docker solution, which looks powerful for offline monitoring but it seems a bit complex to configure. ([turn0search8]) There is also a community thread about getting MQTT data into Grafana through Home Assistant; which mentions using Telegraf & InfluxDB as intermediaries. I am wondering what the simplest and most reliable setup would be for long-term local monitoring. Checked GitHub - victronenergy/venus-grafana: Default Grafana dashboards, for docker solution and Venus OS Large for reference.

By the way; this reminded me of wondering what Is Grafana in simple terms, so I can better understand where it fits in this data flow and why it might be the best tool for visualization.

Thank you !!

I am using this configuration for Telegraf to read from my central MQTT broker, which is bridged to the FlashMQ in VenusOS: Pump MQTT data from a Victron Energy Cerbo GX with Telegraf into InfluxDB v2 ยท GitHub
Tried to maintain data layout as it is generated by GitHub - victronenergy/venus-grafana: Default Grafana dashboards, for docker solution and Venus OS Large .
