I hate red tape and BS, we need an Elon Musk to sort things out, controversial maybe, but something needs to be done
You are absolutely correct, I misread what they allowed me, I think its more like 5.1kW export at 6.4kVa, That will teach me not to read properly.
Have any of you on this thread done a diy installation with alternative qualifications or none at all and got dno acceptance without bringing in an expensive installer?
Ive just sent off my g99 application, and mine is diy and my qualifications are only c&g 224, will this come back and bite me?
Yep, I did my own install, essentially you dont need qualifications .. BUT, to get an energy company to accept you for export, and to have the install legal (if this is what you want), then (assuming you live in the UK), you need to get a Part P notification done, and also a Part A (which covers structual, ventilation (maybe fire) etc. Part P, along with Part A, along with your DNO acceptance will allow you to export as a self installer with Octopus energy, however they may pull that at any time ..
