High Temperatures at BlueSea 300A Battery Switch with Victron MultiPlus II 12/3000/120 Installation

Thanks Ronski,

I’m getting to the point where I’m going to use only 2 fuses from Lynx distribution without any disconnector between.

You have mentioned about the switch getting heat. I have already read that on other place also.

I have 6 Pylontech US-5000C that I will install in a rack. I will connect the 6 in groups of parallel of 2 (so I will have 3 Pylontech kit cables running to my Lynx) I’m planing to use a one pole MCCB + MegaFuse on the Lynx per connection.

Thank you once again for you availability to share your experience!

For battery switch you could use BEP Marine 770 Series for 400A.

As fuse you could use Jean Müller DC NH00-size fuses for telecommunication rated up to 800A. The NH-holder act as switch.

Have you considered, like @Ronski , to connect all the individual battery modules to a common busbar and then connect that to the Lynx rather than connecting the battery modules through each other? That could eliminate the potential issue pointed out by Dihool.

Another thing worth considering as the Mega fuse might not be suitable for batteries (I have seen conflicting info): In my install, I did batt>class T fuse>breaker>Lynx mega fuse. Bit of an overkill but…

Which is what I’ve done, the fuses which I have on my battery rack are T Class, the individual batteries have a fuse each, and the rack has a higher amperage fuse. The fuses in the Lynx are also rated at 70v, but obviously have a much lower breaking capacity.
