Grounding an Inverter

I have just purchased a 12/275 VE inverter to go in my small static caravan, which is powered by a 12v solar array and 120 ah Lithium battery. The AC outlet on the inverter will be connected to a 2 way extension lead block. I want to power a laptop charger and a DeWalt 18v 5ah battery charger (for my cordless tools). Is it enough for me to run a cable (6AWG or 10AWG) from the inverter earth connector to a copper rod that is inserted into the ground? Or should the AC outlet be run through an RCD first before being connected to the 2 way extension block? If its the RCD route where does the earth ground for the inverter go to? TIA.

Could you give us the part # of the inverter, 120 or 230v, what type ac connection ?

Everything is in the manual.
