Sonoff to control temperature, alarm, switching etc
From Sonoff I also use the local server (iHost), to be not internet / cloud dependent for more critical things.
The iHost has a docker functionality, in which I can run NodeRed and/or other programs (Victron?).
Are there more people with a similar set-up and how did you choose to integrate?
Similar setup at home however I prefer openhab rather than ihost. I think there are many more people with setups like you however they use Home Assistant rather than openhab or ihost.
There’s a lot of ways to integrate them. Depending on your preference. I personally prefer the critical stuff on venus os, ie power, tank monitoring.
And then use openhab (or home assistant or ihost) as more of a home automation system. So i tend to get it to show the solar data (via mqtt however modbustcp is also an option) but rarely use it from that system.
I’m similar no cloud based products. (Shelly as a brand is a personal favourite for me)
