There is nowhere mentioned what is “low excess” when it stops charging EV in auto mode.
I understand that if that limit is triggered then it charges minutes configured in (Battery/grid power timeout(min)) and that is fine but what is that limit then 
Tested that today with my 3 phase EV and it still charges in AUTO even “excess” without EV is only 1000W.
I now tried using this because after 14PM my solar production is only 4kw for another 3 hours and regular AUTO is not working because 4kw is the lowest EV Charging in AUTO mode.
And without this option enabled AUTO mode timed out in 30 minutes (like I have configured it) so I wanted to try the new setting.
