EV Charger bi-directional?

I’m just about to get into the world of EVs with a BYD Shark ute. I’m fully off grid here with a MultiPlus-II 10kVA. The Shark has Vehicle 2 Load but it sounds like it may be able to do V2Home which is all I’m interested in so avoiding all of the complexities of dealing with discharging to the grid. I’ve got a couple of questions-

  1. If the vehicle has the tech to send power back to my Multiplus will the EV Charger allow this to happen?
  2. What happens if I feed 230V into the AC OUT of the Multiplus? Will it only feed loads on the output side of the inverter or will it also charge the batteries connected to the Multiplus?

The victron charger is not bi directional, you could use V2L to power a skylla charger thats connected to the DC side of your system

You can not connect ac from the vehicle to the ac of the multiplus, it cant synchronize

Thanks Marc. I saw in the EV Charger manual that they had a solar inverter connected to the AC OUT so thought I’d be good to go but I totally forgot about the synchronising. So manually connecting everything it’ll have to be. It’ll only be a problem in winter so I’ll leave the vehicle plugged into the charger most of the time and then swap over to the V2L lead and plug that into my input socket when my generator would normally go. V2L is 6.6kW on the Shark so should be ok.
Thanks for the reply.
