ESS keeps changing from "Individual phase" to "Total of all phases"

Hi everyone,

The problem:
On multiple random installations the option in Cerbo Settings → ESS → Multiphase regulation keeps toggling from “Individual phase” to “Total of all phases”.

When the system is limited in grid export, it could cause real financial damage.

I have been experiencing this issue for 2+ years. But it was always related to updating Cerbo GX Firmware. I always check this option and change it back, if necessary.

However, lately, it seems that it actually keeps changing when VRM portal option changes from Optimized without Battery Life to different modes (i.e. Keep batteries charged) could affect this.

  • There is no custom local control in terms of Modbus TCP/IP/ MQTT
  • No custom remote control in terms of MQTT over VRM servers.

Anyone experienced this? Is Victron aware? @Lpopescu @mpvader This problem is persistent.

Hey @kyros32 , can you post a few VRM urls where that happened, and make sure that Remote Support is enabled?

I did update grid configuration and ESS assistant via RemoteConfigure. The ESS in Cerbo changed to Total of All Phases…
