Dess Ignore ev charger on the input side

Hi Everyone,

Ive asked something similar but i can not get my head around it, how does nobody else have this issue?

I have a grid gonnection, single phase 35A.
I have a EV charger, single phase 32A.
I have 2 multis 3000va in parralel with a solar rs and 25kwh of battery bank (lifepo4).
I have a grid meter.
Ev charger is positioned between the grid meter and AC in (And therefore displayed seperatly as ‘load’ on vrm). The rest of the house is a critical load.

When running Dess it gets all confused becouse of the EV charger making the predictions and therefore the charge/discharge behaviour inacurate.
I do need the multis to take the EV in to account when it comes to load, becouse i need peak shaving when charging ( for the AC loads in the house) and divinely prevent charging the pack while charing the EV.

I want:
To ignore AC loads for the forecasting, use the grid meter to determine peak shaving/grid limitation, prevent the EV taking energy from the battery pack of the multis.

Anybody knows a solution for this? or suggestions where to look or ask? It could be a node red implementation, extra equipment or perhaps some settings?

Thanks a lot !

If I understand you right You alway want to charge from the grid. Then putting the EV charger before the grid meter wil do the job then the system will never take the charger in to account with anny prediction. If it is a smart charger and it can measure power to the grid the it is still possyble to charge with surplus only, but you never use you battery pack for it.

Is it also messing with the consumption forecast at your system?

I’d also appreciate a way to have the consumption forecast ignore certain loads.

For example, I’d be happy to add an extra VM3 meter on my 3rd party EV charger, to allow the system to ignore this device from consumption forecasts. Though I don’t think it should matter whether it’s on load or grid side.
