Dead Battery protect after blown fuse in Lynx Distributer?

Just blew a 150A fuse in my Lynx distributer whilst setting up my new windlass, and the Smart Battery Protect 220 has died along with the fuse. This seems odd since the Windlass’s 110A circuit breaker downstream didn’t trip and a 220 is supposed to be able to handle surges of 600A? No lights on the Battery Protect. It was clicking on and off until I turned the BMS off after the fuse blew, but now nothing. Any thoughts?

No other loads off the Smart battery protect.

Running a windlass motor through a battery protect is not a good idea, these motors are like starter motors and have very high inrush currents. Circuit breakers supplied with windlasses are designed to be slow to trip, to cope with these surges.

I also would not ‘protect’ the motor (except with a large fuse), but if you think it a good idea, just drive the windlass contactor coils from the battery protect. Personally I would not, as this is one piece of equipment that you may need in an emergency, and having it cut out because of a slightly low battery may cause problems.
