I’m trying to find out if what I think is possible is actually possible! I have an off grid system with a Multiplus II 15000 and 11 kwh of Solar PV charging 40 kwh of battery storage via a MPPT 450/200. I would like to use any excess solar PV power to be diverted into a Thermino ePlus 150 to provide hot water at the house, mainly for use in the sunnier months. I believe the AC/Thor can be used in an offgrid system to control the Thermino, but is there a much simpler way of using the Multiplus II programmable relay to act as a “volt-free timer” to turn the Thermino electric “immersion” element on or off when the battery is above, say 90% SOC? I’ve read various other posts which discuss using the generator start stop functionality, but haven’t found a linkable recent worked example for controlling an immersion heater/thermal battery and the exact steps required.
