Blue Smart IP22 and Blue Solar MPPT working together

Hi All. I currently have a Blue Smart IP22 12/30 installed in my caravan to charge my 110Ah lead acid battery. I’m planning a solar install using a Blue Solar 75/15 MPPT. Currently I have the IP22 limited to send 15 amps to the battery. With the MPPT installed as well I can potentially be sending 30 amp to the battery, as both devices are smart chargers am I right in thinking this will be OK and both devices will control their charge algorithms independently ?

It would be better to use a Smart solar 75/15 rather than the Blue solar version as (confusingly  ) the blue solar doesn’t have Bluetooth!

You can then set up a smart network between the IP22 (post 2020 hardware only) and MPPT so that they work in conjunction with each other (provided they are in range of one another)

Actually, after checking it’s the Smart Solar I have, I’m good so.

Just thinking about this, and you would also really need to add a smart battery sense, otherwise I don’t think the IP22 will receive any voltage or temperature reference direct from the MPPT

I would give it a try on my camper system to be sure, but my IP22 has just been returned for repair!

I’m sure someone with more knowledge will add some further thoughts :+1:

Thanks. I’ve just ordered the Smart Battery Sense.
