Have an multiplus 48/3000/35-16 which I use in ESS ac coupled with my solar edge
I’ve been monitoring energy in vs out for over a year and realised I’m only getting about 68% of the energy out that I’m putting in
The DC curve on the battery is virtually 1:1 in out so the loss is at conversion AD DC and back to AC
Is it normal to loose 16% each way or could something really amiss in setting ?
68% is poor , but yes, it is not really efficient
How do you meassure this 68 percent?
From my measurements, it´s something around 80%
I’ve measured about 72..75%
measured energy in and energy out
30 to 100% them back down to 30% using CT clamps on the AC feed
Did you take into account the idle power of the multiplus (not neglectible) ?
I didn’t but looking now it’s only pulling 7W at idle to hardly going to move the dial if I do
