BMV 702 installation on a - 48V System

Hello.

We have installed a BMV 702 in a - 48V System and the SOC reading seems to be incorrect as the solar charger is running but the SOC is going down as if the battery bank is being effectively discharged.

My question is if this is solved by connecting the shunt in the positive leg instead the negative.

Any feedback will be appreciated.

Looks like you probably just need to turn the shunt around.

If it shows discharging when it's actually charging, that tells us the shunt is installed reverse of how it needs to be, so it's reading current flow backward. Since your use case is an atypical one, I suspect that you installed it in accordance with the installation manual, but the installation steps are assuming a +DC system, not a -DC system, so try flipping the shunt around and see if that resolves the readings!
