Looking at the Victrons page for my Cyrix-li-ct 230A, I can connet it for start assist:

However, the manual provided with my product, does not state that this is possible
Is it still possible, and the manual I got is just describing another use case?
Those are two different products - the upper is from the Cyrix-ct datasheet, the lower is from the Cyrix-li-ct. The Cyrix-ct has start assist, as it's designed to be used between two Pb battery banks; the Cyrix-li-ct does not, as it's designed to be used between a Pb and LFP battery bank.

You are correct about the upper image is from the ct, not the li-ct, my mistake.
I have the li-ct, and is using it between a Pb and LFP battery bank.
I want to be able to connect the banks if needed.
I do not have a VE Bus BMS.
However, the datasheet you are linking to does also show start assist for the li-ct, but it is not the same picture as the one that followed with my product (the second picture in my original post.
From your link:
This shows two yellow cables (and one black), but mine has the "Control cable for Cyrix 12/24-230", and thus one red (and one black).
As my picture show "VE Bus BMS", and yours "V2", maybe I have an older version of the documentation? But your documentation does also show the control cable having black and red cable, so I am still confused. Can I use the red the same way as the one for Start assist in your picture?
And if so, does Victron have a dedicated button to use as a start assist button?
